Services offered Supporting people at risk of losing their home through Debt/Rent or Mortgage arrears, Low income, experiencing problems with family members, and/or anti-social behaviour.
We work with people offering advice, information and encouragement to empower people to gain, maintain and control all aspects of their lives.
This takes place through a variety of ways including, one to one support, gaining skills for life, help with budgeting advice, looking at housing options and more.

Sanctuary Supported Housing

Short term housing and support for 16 – 25 year old with medium to high support needs for a maximum of 2 years.

Home for life for people with physical disabilities age 18 years upwards, with low support needs
Specific Criteria All applicants are required to be homeless or looking at homelessness in the near future. No enduring mental health problems. No significant history of violence.
Service delivered to Young single homeless 16 – 25 year olds short term stay up to 2 years.
Physical disabilities – 18 years upwards home for life.
Referral system Applicants are able to refer through agencies, Arun district council and self referral.

Services offered Three hostels for single homeless people, all in Bognor Regis. All schemes are classed as ‘Supported Housing’. This means that all residents are expected to engage with staff through support assessments with a view to moving towards independent accommodation.

Close links established with 3 local Councils Homeless Persons Units who provide details of households placed in bed and breakfast for follow-up. Clinics are held at the Health Central Surgery, Central Clinic, Worthing for homeless people without a local GP. These are staffed by a doctor, substance mis-use practitioner, health visitor and practice nurse

Services offered Independent and confidential advice and advocacy to homeless people or those with housing problems i.e.: problems with a landlord, trouble paying the rent, problems with anti-social behaviour or domestic violence or living in temporary accommodation. Phone advice line opens several afternoons a week and a drop in service once a week.
Shelter’s free housing advice helpline 0808 800 4444 is open 8am-8pm seven days a week. They are happy to provide advice direct to a client or to other professionals. Information available on line
